Record maintenance sessions for complete audit trails and compliance documentation.

Overview

The Rockettec Overseer can automatically record video from the HDMI input during maintenance sessions. Recordings are stored locally and can be downloaded for archival or review.

Recording Modes

Configuration

Enabling Automatic Recording

Navigate to Video Recording in the sidebar
Toggle Auto-Record Sessions
Configure storage threshold (default 80%)
Click Save Settings

Storage Settings

Manual Recording

Starting a Recording

Ensure video signal is present
Navigate to Video Recording
Click Start Recording
Recording status will show active duration

Stopping a Recording

Click Stop Recording
Recording will finalize and appear in the list

Important: Allow recordings to stop properly. Sudden power loss may corrupt the current recording.

Recording List

The recording list displays all saved recordings with:

Column	Description
Filename	Timestamp-based filename
Date	When recording was created
Duration	Length of recording
Size	File size
Actions	Download or delete

Downloading Recordings

Find the recording in the list
Click the Download button
File will download as MP4

Recordings can be played in any standard video player (VLC, Windows Media Player, etc.).

Storage Management

Automatic Cleanup

When storage usage exceeds the configured threshold:

Oldest recordings are automatically deleted
Deletion continues until below threshold
Cleanup events are logged

Manual Cleanup

Delete individual recordings via the trash icon
Use Clean Up Storage to remove oldest recordings

File Naming Convention

Recordings are named with timestamps:

recording_2024-01-15_14-30-22.mp4

Format: recording_YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS.mp4
