Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions for the Rockettec Overseer.
Can't Access the Device
If in Hotspot Mode
- Connect to the device's WiFi network (e.g.,
Overseer-XXXX) - Use the default IP:
http://192.168.4.1:5074
If in Client Mode
- Check your router for the device's IP
- Try the hostname if your network supports mDNS
Lost WiFi Connection
If you lose access after changing WiFi settings:
- The device may have switched modes
- Look for the device's hotspot network (e.g.,
Overseer-XXXX) - If you cannot find the hotspot, contact your administrator
Forgot Password
If you forget your web interface password, contact your administrator to reset it.
VPN Not Connecting
- Verify server endpoint is reachable
- Check public keys are correct on both ends
- Ensure UDP port 51820 is not blocked
- Check the server logs for connection attempts
Video Issues
No Video Signal
- Verify HDMI cable is securely connected at both ends
- Try a different HDMI cable
- Check that the source equipment is outputting video
- Restart the source equipment
Video is Choppy or Laggy
- Check network bandwidth
- Reduce the number of concurrent viewers
- Move closer to WiFi access point
- Use wired ethernet connection if possible
LTE Modem Issues
No Modem Detected
- Try rebooting the device from the System page
- If the issue persists, contact your administrator
Weak Signal
- The device location may need adjustment
- Check for network coverage in your area with your carrier
