WiFi Configuration
Configure wireless network connectivity for your Rockettec Overseer.
WiFi Modes
The Overseer supports two WiFi operating modes:

| Hotspot (AP) | Device creates its own network | 192.168.4.1 |
| Client (Station) | Device connects to existing network | DHCP assigned |
Connecting to Your WiFi Network (From Hotspot Mode)
When the device is in hotspot mode, you need to save your network first:
- Go to WiFi page
- Under "Add Network", enter:
- Network Name (SSID): Your WiFi network name
- Password: Your WiFi password
- Click Save Network
- Click Switch to Client Mode
- You will be disconnected from the hotspot
- The device will connect to your saved network
- Find the device's new IP address on your router/network
- Reconnect to the device using the new IP
Already in Client Mode?
If you're already connected via WiFi (client mode):
- Go to WiFi page
- Click Scan to find available networks
- Select a network from the list
- Enter the password
- Click Connect
Switching Back to Hotspot Mode
If you need direct access to the device:
- Go to WiFi page
- Click Switch to Hotspot
- The device will start broadcasting its own WiFi
- Connect to the device's WiFi network (e.g.,
Overseer-XXXX)
Managing Saved Networks
- View saved networks in the "Saved Networks" section
- Click the delete icon to remove a saved network
- The device will use saved networks when in client mode
Finding the Device IP Address
After connecting to WiFi, find the device's new IP using one of these methods:
- Check your router's DHCP client list
- Use a network scanner app
- Check via WireGuard VPN if already configured
WiFi Specifications

Note: 5GHz networks are not supported. Ensure your target network operates on 2.4GHz.
