Quick Start Guide

Get your Rockettec Overseer up and running in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Power On

Connect the Overseer device to power using the included USB-C power adapter. The device will boot automatically.

Note: Initial boot may take up to 60 seconds.

Step 2: Connect via Hotspot

By default, the device runs in hotspot mode. To connect:

1. Look for a WiFi network named like Overseer-XXXX on your phone or laptop
2. Connect to that network
3. Open your browser and go to: http://192.168.4.1:5074

Step 3: Log In

Log in with the default credentials:

Important: Change your password after first login in Settings > App Credentials.

Step 4: Configure WiFi (Optional)

To connect Overseer to your existing WiFi network:

1. Go to WiFi page
2. Under "Add Network", enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and password
3. Click Save Network
4. Click Switch to Client Mode
5. You will be disconnected from the hotspot
6. The device will connect to your saved network
7. Find the device's new IP address on your router

Step 5: Connect Equipment

Connect your industrial equipment to the Overseer:

• HDMI Input: Connect the video output from your equipment
• USB: Connect for keyboard/mouse pass-through
• Ethernet: Use for network sharing (Router Mode)
